The ghaats around Pune are abundant with trekking and cycling routes and other relaxing getaways. For those worried about cycling on highways or trails, fret not! We have cycling routes for you within the city as well which will make cycling easier and still memorable! For the most part, the weather in pleasant which is great for a refreshing ride. The weather is chilly and pleasant which will make your ride more refreshing. We have jotted down 5 routes in Pune which you can explore in the New Year:
Pune to Panshet Dam:
This route tops the bucket list of every Punekar. This is a gorgeous route in the Western Ghats. You will cover 45 kms distance in this journey and you can stop by to enjoy Sinhagad Fort and Khadakwasla Dam.Karve Road to Law College Road:
This route has solid concrete road and covers 5kms distance. You will find beautiful greenery on law college road and thus it will make your ride worthy.Hadapsar to Camp:
Camp is a very peaceful and beautiful place to ride to. Starting from Hadapsar, you will reach camp in 22 mins. This route is crowded most of the times, so choose your time wisely. Camp on the other hand, short for Pune Cantonment area, has gorgeous canopied roads that make cycling a sheer joy.Chandani Chowk to Aundh:
There are two routes from Chandani Chowk to Aundh, to enjoy your ride take the one from Pashan. You will get to see some beautiful views along the ride. Riding through Pashan, you can also stop along the Pacnhavati area and take a short hike in the area.Hadapsar to Loni:
Get out of the city and enjoy the grapy vineyards and farms along the way. A 26-minute ride which makes for a very picturesque journey is great for a weekend getaway.
